Food Service Director

Full-Time | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Medical Suites at Oak Creek is seeking a Food Service Director to lead our dietary department in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and ensure our residents receive nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Job Requirements:

• Previous leadership experience in healthcare, long term care or food service
• Must be ServSafe Certified
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diets
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
• CDM is preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including food production, meal service, sanitation, and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CMS, state health department, and food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team to support residents' nutritional needs.
• Develop and maintain menus that meet therapeutic diet requirements and resident preferences.
• Manage department budgets, food purchasing, inventory, and cost controls.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff.
• Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and meal service performance.
• Maintain accurate records related to food safety, sanitation, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
